Combinaut infinite crafting game

Infinite Crafting Game FAQ

Short answers to the things people actually ask about Combinaut, the infinite crafting game.

If you are new, how to play covers the controls. On a school or work connection, this page explains what does and does not work. To look something up, use the browsable catalogue. If you came here looking for the neal.fun game, the comparison sets the two side by side.

Is Combinaut a free infinite craft game?
Yes. Combinaut is a free infinite craft game you play online in the browser. There is no account, no email, no paid tier and no download, and it stays free.
Do I need to download anything?
No. It runs in the browser. There is nothing to install and no plugin.
Is Combinaut the same as other crafting games?
No. Combinaut is its own game with its own universe of elements, generated by us. It is not affiliated with or connected to any other crafting game, and its recipes will often differ from theirs.
Is Combinaut the neal.fun Infinite Craft game by Neal Agarwal?
No. Infinite Craft is a game by Neal Agarwal at neal.fun. Combinaut is an independent infinite craft game with its own database of elements, made by a different team, and it does not use any data from neal.fun. The comparison guide sets the two side by side.
Why does a recipe I found elsewhere not work here?
Because it was made for a different universe. Every crafting game of this type generates its own combinations, so two games drift apart almost immediately. Ours are the ones that work here.
Where are the Combinaut infinite craft game recipes?
In the recipe database at /recipes/. Every combination ever made in Combinaut is stored there the moment it is first discovered. Search by element name, browse alphabetically, and follow any element back to the four base elements.
How are the combinations made?
A language model is asked what a new pairing should produce, once. The first valid answer is stored permanently and becomes the authority, so the same pair always gives the same result from then on.
Can I play Combinaut unblocked at school?
Often, but we cannot promise it. Combinaut is an infinite craft game unblocked by design in the sense that it is one small page, around sixty kilobytes, with no download, no plugin and no countdown, so it opens on slow and filtered connections wherever the network allows it through. Whether a specific school filter allows it is up to the school.
Is Combinaut an infinite craft game for kids?
It is suitable for kids. There is no chat, no accounts and no way for strangers to contact a player, and every element name and glyph passes through a safety filter before it can enter the universe. Parents and teachers can reach us through the contact page.
Is my progress saved?
Yes, in your own browser. Close the tab and come back and it is still there. It is not stored on our servers, which means we cannot see it and it does not follow you to another device.
Why does it sometimes say a combination has not been discovered yet?
Because nobody has made it and our generator has not reached it. Those pairings are queued and are usually available the next day. Nothing is broken and nothing is lost.
Is there an end?
No. There is no score, no timer and no final element. The catalogue is the game, and it keeps growing as players combine pairings nobody has tried.
What is the Combinaut interface like?
A board and a catalogue. Drag a tile from the catalogue onto the board and drop it on another tile to combine them. Around that there is undo, clear, sound, search, sort, a filter for your world-first discoveries and a trophy panel. Light and dark themes follow your system.
Can I play on a phone?
Yes. Drag works, tapping one tile then another works, and pinch to zoom is never disabled. It works in Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge on desktop and mobile.
Do brainrot and meme elements show up in Combinaut?
They can. The universe only contains what players have actually combined, so meme and brainrot elements appear when players build toward them, the same as anything else. Every result still passes the safety filter before it is stored.
Do you collect my data?
We never ask for your name, email or age, and there is no account. Your catalogue is stored in your own browser and we cannot read it. We do use Google Analytics, which sets a cookie and tells us how many people visited and which pages they read, never who they are. The privacy page explains it in full.
